Dodik visited Moscow despite the published arrest warrant and charges in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The President of the Bosnian Republic of Serbia (RS) Milorad Dodik announced on Tuesday that he has been in Moscow for the third time since the release of the warrant for his person in March 2025. This is reported to TASR, according to the AFP report.
“I am here again,” Dodik wrote on the social network X. According to the state television of RS RS Bosnian Serbs, he arrived at the Russian capital at night and is to participate in an international security conference there. It should also be met with Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Šojga. On his way to Moscow he stopped in Belgrade, Serbia, where he negotiated with President Aleksandar Vučič.
Dodika in Bosnia and Herzegovina were sentenced to a year of imprisonment and a six -year prohibition of political activity for disregarding the decisions of the High International Community for Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian Schmidt. He supervises the adherence to the Dayton Peace Agreement, which in the 1990s ended the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Since the end of the war, federal bosnia and Herzegovina have been divided into the autonomous part of the Republic of Serbian, Distrikt Brčko and the Bosnia and Herzegovina Federation connected by the central government. In response to the conviction, Dodik Parliament RS approved the laws that prohibit the federal police and the judiciary in the territory of the Bosnian Serbs.
The Federal Government has therefore issued a national arrest warrant for Dodika for “undermining the constitutional order” and asked for help Interpol. But he did not issue a so -called Red Notice for the President of the RS – a request for a person’s trackout and detention to his extraditation. According to local media, Interpol decided after the pressure of Hungary and Serbia, which Dodik’s court described as political.
