The document also states that the officiality of Catalan, Basque and Galician between in force since January 1, 2027 but, he adds, immediately applying a “repeal” by which only the regulations of the Council and the European Parliament would be translated, that is, less than 3% of the legal acts that the EU produces in a mandate, according to the statistics of the last legislature.
In the absence of a detailed plan of how to apply in practice the passage of 24 to 27 official languages, Spain points out that “in the coming months” and “before the agreement is applied” it will coordinate with the EU institutions to present to the Council a proposal of the material, technical and human resources necessary to “not gradually apply” the repeal provided in the regulations for each of the three languages.
