Together with Luxembourg, Austria forms the Spearspitze against the Deliberation Ordinance (Eudr). The regulation is intended to ensure that there are only goods on the market in the EU, for which no forest was cleared. Brussels wants to contain the extinction of species and the climate crisis. As early as the previous year, Austria had reached with other countries to postpone the EudR’s start by one year to December 30, 2025.
