They are attracted to them with a sweet nectar, which the plant produces only until he flourished, then the ants lose their food and get out of flowers. On the other hand, aphids sucking juices from the peonies and weaken it so much that even if the flowers manage to develop, they are ugly and deformed. Most often, however, they do not develop at all and are poor. That’s why you have to act quickly.
Homemade spraying on aphids on peonies
Aphids reproduce very quickly, so it is important to get rid of pests quickly. If we do not want to reach for aggressive chemicals, we can try home remedies using onions and garlic or gray soap. To prepare the first spraying, we need 5 medium -sized onion, garlic head and water. Cut the onions into slices together with shells, like garlic, add about 0.5 liters of water and cook for half an hour. After cooling, strain the decoction and pour into the washer. If we want to use gray soap spraying, we rub around 30 GI in a cool liter of water. The preparation is immediately ready for use. We spray the peonies on a cheerful evening. It is also worth noting that aphids are often accompanied by speakers. Some species of ants feed on them will be produced by aphids. That is why they care for them, protect against other insects, and even store their eggs through the winter. A sweet fall is a real rarity for them, which is why it is often said that ants “breed” aphids. To get rid of insects from the garden, most often you need to cut off ants from food.
A way to aphid. Natural avocado stone preparation
Instead of onions, garlic and gray soap, you can also prepare a natural preparation for aphids on peonies and not only from avocado seed. In addition, the preparation based on water and the part of the avocado, which we usually throw away, is cheap, effective and safe for our health. To prepare the mixture, two ingredients are enough – avocado stone and water. Before we start acting, it is good to dry the stone. So we leave it, for example, on a sunny windowsill for 2-3 days. Then rub on a fine grater. In the meantime, we heat a liter of water in a pot. When it concludes, we add a grated stone. Mix thoroughly and remove from heat. We cover the pot and then put it in a cool place overnight. Later, we just strain and we have a ready insecticide concentrate. We dilute a liter of concentrate in five liters of water.
