For many people, summer reading can be about thrillers and light novels, but if you are seeking to improve your life, JPMorgan has some suggestions.
The annual summer reading list in the northern hemisphere of the financial institution, which has become a selection of beach books highly sought after by the wealthy, offers 16 books to choose from this year, ranging from autobiography and reflections on philanthropy from Melinda French Gates to Plantir CEO forecasts, Alex Karp, for the future of Artificial Intelligence (IA).
This represents an increase compared to previous years, which usually had 10 selections. This year’s list also suggests some summer experiences, including Hill Family Estate in Napa and watching the musical “Maybe Happy Ending” on Broadway.
“Our summer reading list 2025 is a celebration of the unlimited power of curiosity,” said Darin Oduye, director of communications at JP Morgan Asset & Wealth Management in a statement. “This year’s teams challenge us to think and explore boldly. With topics ranging from personal values to innovative borders such as AI, electric vehicles and the wonders of the universe – this list is designed to inspire advanced growth and thinking.”
Here are the 16 books that the bank is recommending for this middle of the year (only one of the books has Portuguese version released in Brazil):
