Kilauea volcano ends and launches Lava 300 meters high

The Kilauea volcano, located on Hawaii’s Ilha Grande, erupted again, expelling lava jets that reach 300 meters high. Considered by many experts as the most active volcano in the world, Kilaueea has recorded intermittent activity since December, with increasingly frequent eruptions.

Situated in the heart of Hawaii National Park, this natural giant is one of the archipelago’s biggest tourist attractions. However, for safety reasons, visitors can only observe the phenomenon from safe platforms, away from the main cone.

Kilauea’s recent history is marked by decades of activity. After a long period of inactivity, the volcano erupted in 1983 and has since alternated between phases of calm and intense volcanic manifestations. Unpredictable behavior led to the creation of an exclusion zone in 2007, where it is not allowed to reside. The area is today only frequented by scientists, volcanologists and specialized technicians.

Kilauea is one of Hawaii’s six active volcanoes, and its strength continues to shape the island’s landscape and inspire respect for those who observe it. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, although so far there is no record of injuries or significant material damage.
