Hotel Faro & Beach Club is preparing to start a new chapter of its history, continuing the legacy built over more than two decades under the leadership of the Hipólito family. Since its acquisition, this hotel unit has undergone a remarkable transformation, becoming a symbol of the city of Faro and a point of reference in Algarve hospitality.

The dedication to excellence, the bet on sustainability and the attention to detail made the Hotel Faro & Beach Club in a welcoming destination, recognized by both national and international visitors. Over the years, it was also an important tourist appreciation engine in the region.

“It was more than twenty years of a challenging but deeply rewarding course. We left with the feeling of mission accomplished, certain that Hotel Faro & Beach Club will continue to grow in a group that shares the same values ​​of excellence and dedication. The choice of the Barceló group was carefully thoughtful, as we sought a hotel partner who represented a true more-value for the city. The right ally for this new stage, ”says Sofia Hipólito, director general of the hotel.

From June 3, Hotel Faro & Beach Club will enter a new phase. Staying ownership of the Hipólito family, it will be explored by the Barceló Group, integrating the brand’s portfolio with the new designation Hotel Occidental Faro. This new stage marks the continuity of a prestigious route, now reinforced with a new impulse, with a view to the consolidation of the hotel as a destination of excellence in southern Portugal.

“More than a change, it is a natural evolution of a project that has always knew how to grow authenticity, respect for local roots and ambition to go further-qualities that will continue to define the work of their team and their leadership,” says the hotel unit.
