My grandmother made such dumplings with strawberries. The secret is one ingredient

Truscle season for the best. We usually use them for different, but this time it is worth bending over the recipe for dumplings with these seasonal fruit. To make the best filling in the world, grandmother mixed strawberries not only with vanilla sugar, but also with … cinnamon. Its taste was impossible to counterfeit.

In this recipe, we use strawberries for which the season lasts. However, nothing prevents you from replacing them with other fruits, i.e. raspberries, berries or plums. The list of other ingredients for the dough is universal.

What ingredients do we need to make dumplings with strawberries? Here is the list:

  • 400 g of cooked and cooled potatoes;
  • 300 g of strawberries;
  • 200 g of wheat flour;
  • 100 g of semi -fat curd;
  • 1 yolk;
  • A bit of salt;
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla sugar;
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.

At the beginning we wash the strawberries and remove the peduncles from them. Then cut them in half and put them into a bowl. Mix the fruit with vanilla sugar and cinnamon. Set aside them for several minutes to let them go.

In the next step, grind cooked and cooled potatoes to a smooth mass. We can use a press or grinding machine for this.

Then add yolk, salt, flour and cottage cheese to crushed potatoes. We knead the dough so that it gain a soft and compact consistency.

Put the prepared dough on a flour -dusted board and divide into several parts. We form a roller from each, and then cut it into even pieces.

We flatten each piece in your hands in the shape of a pancake, on which we apply with a spoonful of strawberry along with juice. Then we thoroughly stick the edges, forming shapely balls.

We cook dumplings with strawberries in boiling and salted water for about 5 minutes, until they flow to the surface. We pull them out of the water with a slotted spoon and serve hot, immediately after preparation.

Grandma always served dumplings with strawberries sprinkled with cinnamon or powdered sugar. We can also pour them with natural yogurt or a roux from breadcrumbs and butter.
