North Korea has qualified the Plan of the US President of the President Donald Trump’s “Golden Dome” antimysis system, a “very dangerous” threat that aims to militarize the space, state media said on Tuesday.

The North Korean Foreign Ministry has issued a memorandum indicating that it is “a very dangerous’ threatening ‘initiative’, whose goal is to threaten the strategic security of nuclear weapons-holding states,” said official news agency KCNA.

Trump announced last week new details and initial funding conditions for the defense system that, in his opinion, is “very important to success and even for the survival of our country.”

But the initiative has important technical and political challenges, according to analysts, and can have a high economic cost.

North Korean memorandum, a country with nuclear and hostile arsenal compared to Washington, accused the United States of “trying to militarize the outer space,” said KCNA.

“The United States plan to build a new missile defense system is the fundamental cause of provoking a nuclear and space arms race in the world by feeding the safety concerns of nuclear weapons -holding states and transforming the outer space into a potential nuclear war field,” Pyongyang insisted.

China, one of North Korea’s leading allies, also expressed a strong rejection of the plan and accused the United States of undermining global stability.
