According to Telegram CEO, Pavel Durov, the messenger will receive $ 300 million in cash and shares from Xai, plus 50% of the revenue obtained with subscriptions
Telegram has signed a one -year deal with Xai, Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, to distribute Chatbot Grok on the messaging platform, which has over one billion users, according to CEO Pavel Durov.
The company will receive US $ 300 million in money and shares from XAI, as well as 50% of the revenue obtained with chatbot signatures sold by Telegram, said Durov in an X post on Wednesday.
Xai did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Telegram has faced criticism from European Union authorities to Iran because of the content shared on the platform and the lack of response to removal requests. Durov also faces accusations from the French authorities, who accuse him of being an accomplice in crimes committed through the app – the CEO denies the accusations.
Grok has been previously criticized for controversial responses, including a recent episode in which he redirected social networking posts for a conspiracy theory about a supposed “white genocide” in South Africa.
