The White House appreciated the new Humanitarian Foundation for the Gaza Strip, which distributed 462,000 servings of food despite chaos in distribution.
The White House appreciated the new Humanitarian Foundation for the Gaza (GHF), supported by the United States and Israel, but stressed that the organization does not fall under the control of US authorities. Tammy Ministry spokeswoman Tammy Bruce highlighted the importance of the aid provided by the Foundation, but refused that the department would speak on its behalf.
Allegations of biased
The United Nations (UN), along with other humanitarian groups, blame GHF that it is not independent and acts in the interest of Israel at the expense of the Palestinians. Bruce described these claims as “unfortunate” and criticized questions about possible political motives.
After the Israeli blockade, which caused a serious lack of food and medicines in the Gaza Strip, GHF started its activity last week. The foundation divided approximately 8,000 food boxes, which represents about 462,000 servings of food, but the chaos required the intervention of soldiers who burned warning shots.
