Other names that have committed themselves to the initiative include Jay Hoag, founder of the TCV investment firm, and Matthew Sonsini, former executive director of the Sobrate Organization. From the health sector, Glen Tullman, CEO of Transcarent, and Noubar afyan, co-founder of the modern pharmaceutical and CEO of the pioneering flagship.

Created in 2010, the Giving Pretge already has over 240 signatories worldwide. The idea is to encourage the richest to direct their wealth to social initiatives, to combat poverty, advances in health, education and science. Although the commitment has no legal strength, the signatories publicly formalize the intention to donate, inspiring others to do the same.
