The third season of “and Just like that …” debut this Thursday (29) at HBO Max. Produced and starring Sarah Jessica Parker, the series is a spin off of “Sex and the City”.
In an interview with anchor of CNN Isa Soares, the actress talked about what to expect from Carrie, protagonist of the show, and new characters who enter the plot.
“Lisette [Katerina Tannenbaum]the character in the series that now lives in Carrie’s apartment, she will face love, sex and relationships in a very different way at her age in 2025 than Carrie would, “says Jessica Parker.
Asked about the protagonist’s loving relationships, Sarah Jessica Parker, who acted 60, talks about the most mature phase. “I think the ways we seek love are based on our life experiences, and Carrie is more mature, it has evolved. I think it is less hysterical or demonstrative when love disappoints,” he says.
And what to expect from the relationship between Carrie and (John Corbett)? “I think she is so invested in the idea of this kind of companionship, which is still a goal for her. (…) Even in relation to Aidan, when there is some revelation, it just becomes more cautious about things because that is what usually happens to people as they mature,” reflects the actress.
Isa Soares also questioned the star about her documentary “The Librarian” and book ban. The actress explained that she was practically created in a library. “Many people in this country, including me, were created in libraries, and they are not just buildings with shelves, they are sanctuaries of possibilities. The opportunity to apply for jobs, learn languages, access information. They are the gateway to compassion, empathy and curiosity, but they are also headlights in the neighborhoods.”
