Civil Defense declares emergency in cities in the south and northeast

Municipalities are affected by drought, drought, heavy rainfall or infectious viral diseases

The National Secretariat of Protection and Civil Defense recognized the emergency situation in municipalities in the south and northeast of the country. Ordinances were published this Thursday (29.MAI.2025) in Official Gazette of the Union. Read the full ( – 114 kb and – 133 kb).

The measurements were taken based on data from the disaster information form (FIDE). With the announcement, sending help to affected places is facilitated.

Below is the list of cities and natural disasters pointed out:

  • Rescinanga (BA) – Drought;
  • New Redemption (BA) – Drought;
  • Bonfim Lord (BA) – Drought;
  • Iracema (CE) – Drought;
  • Banana trees (PB) – Drought;
  • Cubati (PB) – Drought;
  • Diamante (PB) – Drought;
  • Juazeirinho (PB) – Drought;
  • Nova Palmeira (PB) – Drought;
  • São José do Bonfim (PB) – Drought;
  • São José dos Cordeiros (PB) – Drought;
  • Afonso Bezerra (RN) – Drought;
  • Antônio Martins (RN) – Seca;
  • New cross (RN) – Drought;
  • Jaguariaíva (PR) – Viral infectious diseases;
  • Big Arroio (RS) – Drought;
  • Southern waterfall (RS) – Viral infectious diseases;
  • Cad (RS) – Drought;
  • Victor Graeff (RS) – Drought;
  • Capinzal (SC) – Drought;
  • Mislergic (SC) – Intense rains;
  • Peritiba (SC) – Drought.
