Elon Musk says his time in the Trump administration “has come to an end”

Elon Musk technology billionaire, who was granted to lead the government efficiency department, announced Wednesday night that his time in the Trump administration came to the end.

During his time in the command of Doge, Musk supervised great cuts in federal labor as part of Trump government efforts to reduce federal spending.

“As my time scheduled as a special civil servant comes to an end, I would like to thank President @realdonaldtrump for the opportunity to reduce unnecessary expenses,” the digital platform of which he owns. “The @doge mission will only be strengthened over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.”

CNN had previously reported that Doge, even with the retreat of Musk, with employees who will remain in the department, incorporated into federal agencies for months or years.

Musk, who was limited to working 130 days as a special government employee, will now start the unlinction process, which is essentially about handling, a White House source said, indicating that the process began on Wednesday night.

In recent weeks, Musk had begun to move away from his full-time governmentwork to focus on his companies, including Spacex and Tesla, which have been going through difficulties, in part as a result of the musk alliance with Trump administration.

Musk’s publication comes after having President Donald Trump’s fiscal and expense package, saying in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning that he believes this will lead to an increase in the US budgetary deficit and undermine Doge’s efforts.

“I was disappointed by the huge expenses law, which increases the budget deficit and impairs the work that the Doge team is doing,” he said in the interview. “I think a law can be big or beautiful, but I don’t know if it can be both.”

The president’s “great bill” includes dolions of dollars in tax reductions and a major budgetary impulse to US military and national security expenses – largely paid by reviews of federal health and nutrition programs and cuts in energy programs. The Congress Budget Office, which is aparti, estimates that the bill would accumulate another 3.35 billion euros for the deficit.

On Wednesday, Trump ignored Musk’s comments that the bill did not contain enough cuts, saying that he expected more changes to the legislation as it was approved in the Senate. The president also said he is not satisfied with all parts of the bill and that there will be negotiations about him.

Representatives’ House leader Mike Johnson also signaled that the party is “anxious and ready” to the basis of what was determined by the doge as soon as Trump’s team submitted its official request to Congress.

Under the leadership of Musk in the first four months of the Trump administration, the doge caused a turnaround in the federal government. At least 121,000 federal or dismissal workers in the first 100 days of Trump in the White House and thousands of others accepted friendly terminations. Federal subsidies and programs were cut and, in some instances, restored after judicial contestation.

CNN also reported on Wednesday that, chief counselor and doge spokesman, has abandoned office and is now working with Musk, according to three sources familiar with the process. Miller did not respond to requests for commentary sent to his White House email, which still seems to be working. Another White House spokesman did not respond to requests for comment to this news.

Given his removal from Trump administration, Musk announced last week that he plans in politics in the future, but it is not yet clear whether comments mark any change in his promise to invest 88 million euros in political groups controlled by President Trump.

Previously, Musk spent more than 255 million euros to help elect Trump and republican candidates to Congress in November. Musk -linked groups also spent more than 17 million euros in a race to the Supreme Court of Wisconsin earlier this year that his favorite candidate eventually lost.

Kaitlan Collins, Hadas Gold, Shania Shelton, Eric Bradner, Annie Grayer, Phil Mattingly and Tami Luhby from CNN contributed to this report.
