The atmosphere of a Padel game at Club Volea, in Escazú, Costa Rica, warmed unexpectedly, leading to a moment of great tension among the players. The episode, which quickly spread on social networks, began with words of words at the door of the countryside and involved a group of seven people.
According to the newspaper Noticias de Costa Rica, one of the interveners shared an audio that has been running social networks, explaining its version of events. “It got me to play against one who only knew how to hit the ball against the wall. They were saying things, insulting … I tried to keep myself apart,” he explained. “But when we left the countryside, one of them began to provoke even more.”
The situation worsened with comments considered offensive. “He said things that had nothing to do, attacked my wife. Then I lost everything, the chip went out. I entered a black tunnel,” the player reported. “When I found myself, I was already on him. It’s no excuse, but I was on the edge.”
