How to grow a chewed checker and why have it in the garden
Chejr comes from the Mediterranean, where it grows as a short -term semi -metal, but in a slight conditions it usually grows as a two -year -old. This means that the first year will create a ground -floor rosette of leaves that hibernates, and only the second year bloom with beautiful flowers. For cultivation, it is important to choose a sunny place with a well -permeable, rather drier soil rich in calcium and humus. Přemoislings in winter do not testify the plant, so it is good to protect the place of planting from moisture and cold wind.
The seeds of the hit are sown ideally in spring or early summer directly on the flower bed or in the box. In autumn we will move the plants to a permanent place, where we give them a slight watering. Chejr does not have much care: it is sufficient to remove blooming flowers, which will support a longer flowering period and prevent unnecessary seed formation. For higher varieties, it is also advisable to support the plants against the wind.
Thanks to its aroma and colorful flowers, the chejr is not only a decoration of the garden, but also an attraction for pollinators who find food on it at a time when many other plants are not yet blooming. Its unpretentious watering and care makes it an ideal plant even for drier and harder accessible places. In addition, it is a plant that is one of the oldest known garden flowers, yet it retains its charm today.
