Musk leaves US government and thanks Trump for the opportunity

Deadline was May 30; decision was 1 day after the entrepreneur criticized republican budget project

Tesla’s businessman and CEO, Elon Musk, left Donald Trump’s government this Wednesday (28.MAI.202). He is the special position of counselor of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency).

“Now that my time as a special government official is coming to an end, I would like to thank President @realdonaldtrump for the opportunity to reduce unnecessary expenses.”said Musk on his profile at X.

Musk’s mandate at the head of the department was 130 days old was scheduled to end on Friday (30.MAI). In April, he had already said he would leave office to devote himself to his companies.

The early departure took place 1 day after the billionaire with the government budget bill sent to Congress. In an interview with CBS News, he said the proposal increases the budget deficit and “I mine the work being done by the Doge team”.
