CPAC in Budapest welcomed leaders from 30 countries and emphasized conservative values.

Building a global patriotic alliance that will respond to the challenges of open borders, gender ideology and provure policy is the main topic of the fourth two -day conference of a conservative political action (CPAC), which started on Thursday in Budapest. According to the server Magyarnemzet.hu, the guests of the event will be the Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and the leader of the German extreme right -wing alternative for Germany (AfD) Alice Weidel, says TASR newsletter in Budapest.

Miklós Szánthó, the Executive Director of the Fundamental Rights Center (Alapjogokért Központ) said that participants from 30 countries had arrived for the conference.

Orbán and Trump’s support

“The eyes of the world are on us,” Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said about the Instagram social network.

The Hungarian Prime Minister later on Facebook published a greeting of US President Donald Trump. “You know what Hungary means to me, and you know what CPAC means to me. Both I appreciate and love,” said the US President, who further said about Orban that he is a great person that everyone is deeply appreciated. “He did a great job in managing the country and it is a truly exceptional personality,” he added, adding that CPAC is a worldwide recognized organization representing conservative values such as strong borders, order and safety.

Europe at the intersection

In the opening speech, the Hungarian Prime Minister recalled that Europe is choosing between a liberal and patriotic future. According to him, the first direction leads to war, centralized Europe, but the Hungarians have their patriotic plan. “We need peace, and we do not need Ukraine membership in the EU. We need sovereignty, we do not want central management. People need to return freedom of politics, thinking and opinion. We want to get back Europe from migrants and we want Christian Europe,” Orbán stressed.

Since 1974, the CPAC’s right -wing political conference has been organizing the US Conservative Union (ACU) every year. In almost half a year of history, it became an event that mobilizes tens of thousands of conservatives. It took place in Europe for the first time in 2022 in Budapest.
