Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday that Moscow had not yet received an answer to his proposal to carry out further peace negotiations in Istanbul on 2 June. “As far as I know, we haven’t received any answer yet … We have to wait for the Ukrainian reaction,” Peskov said, according to which Russia’s priority is now on direct negotiations. The requirement of Kiev to provide peace conditions before the negotiations were to be “non -constructive”.
