Slovakia is troubled by strong winds, meteorologists warn: Alerts apply in several districts!

Especially in western Slovakia, the wind warnings are valid on Thursday. They are also released in some districts of the Prešov and Banská Bystrica regions. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMI) informed about it on the web.

Alerts are valid in the whole Bratislava, Trnava and Nitra regions. Also in the districts of Myjava, Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Kežmarok, Poprad and Brezno. Meteorologists warn that the wind can achieve a speed of 65 to 85 kilometers per hour in the given areas.

Wind warnings in the mountains also apply. They are released in the districts of Tvrdošín, Ružomberok, Liptovský Mikuláš, Poprad, Brezno and Banská Bystrica. SHMI warns that the wind can reach an average speed of 70 to 85 kilometers per hour.
