The South Korea Navy reported that a four-person sea patrol aircraft on board fell near a military base in the southern city of Pohang on Thursday (29). According to the news agency News1, two people died.
The accident occurred at 1:43 pm (local time), 1:43 am in Brasilia, the South Korean Navy said in a statement.
The navy was trying to confirm the cause of the accident and the number of victims, said the Navy.
Previously, Yonhap agency reported that the plane crashed into the east coast mountains, citing authorities.
Smoke was seen where the aircraft fell, Yonhap informed, citing a civil witness.
