AI could overtake Bitcoin 2025 in electricity consumption – or has already done it

There was a time when the indignation of the power consumption of the Bitcoin blockchain caused headlines. And then the artificial intelligence came and went one step further: 2025 could consume more electricity than the largest cryptocurrency in the world. And with it significantly more than states like the Netherlands, as a study from the Netherlands shows.
