The fine stipulated by the project is 250 UFESPS (Fiscal Unit of the State of São Paulo), the equivalent of R $ 9,255, reaching double in case of recurrence.
In justification for the bill, the deputy states that the goal is to “curb a practice that has become increasingly recurring and has contributed to generate significant disorders in public service units.”
“Conduct, which may even be seen as harmless, and, perhaps in isolated cases, be motivated by any affective deficiency or ignorance of the services provided by public agencies, can lead to a number of problems in the daily life of the units,” says the parliamentarian.
She adds that the act of bringing a Reborn baby to a place of service generates riot and hinders the work routine.
According to the deputy, the objective is not to repudiate the act of having this type of object itself, “but contribute to guide their use in order to prevent inappropriate situations affect the daily life of the general population, ensuring that the provision of public services offered throughout the state of São Paulo is safely and efficiently performed throughout the system and, certainly, fully focused on the service of humans.”
