South African actor Presley CHWeneyagae from the Oscar -winning Tsotsi (2005) died at the age of 40, announced his agent and informs AFP. He won international fame in 2006 when the film from the Criminal Underworld environment of the vast Johannesburg district of Soweto won from film academics Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

“With deep sorrow, we confirm the early departure of one of the most gifted and popular actors Spring, Presley Chweneyagae, at the age of 40,” She said the art agency Mlasa on her statement on her website. The date of his death and the cause of death were not immediately known.
Presley was a “strong and authentic voice of African cinematography” and his career included theater, television and film, the statement said. Chweneyagae plays “Tsotsi” in his most famous film, which is a colloquial expression for a criminal.
He tries to act correctly when he inadvertently kidnaps the vehicle with the child in the rear seat. The film was made according to the novel by the renowned South African playwright Athol Fugard, who died in March this year at the age of 92.

Chweneyagae was born in 1984 in the town of Mafafeng in the northwestern province of Spring and began to attend acting lessons at the age of ten, his representatives said.
