The Government of Paraná will implement a database with to map, analyze and prevent accidents of. The system, named after traffic, will include information about places of claims, causes, victims, presence of alcohol or drugs, as well as road conditions and risk behaviors.
The initiative of the Public Security Secretariat promises to use data as a basis for public policies, such as installation of radars and signaling improvements. The total investment is $ 5 million.
The value encompasses the purchase of four 3D scanners capable of detailed digital reconstructions of accidents, an apparatus for advanced toxicological exams, cameras and skill kits. Equipment testing and team training is scheduled for the second half.
According to Secretary Hudson Teixeira, the new features “will help identify risks more efficiently, improving prevention strategies.” In 2024, the Scientific Police say they have served 2,030 such occurrences in the state.
