Self -selection of strawberries is the ideal way to enjoy fresh fruit, beautiful time outside and learn something about growing directly in the fields. In 2025, a number of places in the Czech Republic open up where you can collect strawberries yourself. We have prepared an overview of the best locations and terms.
The self -pick of strawberries becomes more popular year after year, especially for families with children who want to spend time outside and at the same time know where their favorite fruit really comes from. No supermarket box can replace the experience where you collect strawberries with your own hands, taste the first red fruits directly in the field and take home fresh and fragrant strawberries for a fraction of the price. That is why self -translation is ideal not only for strawberry lovers, but also for all who want to actively spend spring and summer days.

When and where to go for the self -selection of strawberries in the Czech Republic in 2025?
In the Czech Republic, the strawberry season usually begins from the end of May to mid -June, of course with minor regional differences that affect the weather and the selection of varieties. You can look forward to self -collection around Prague, for example in Kunratice, where you can collect strawberries from 5 to 10 June 2025. The price is approximately 100 CZK per kilogram, and if you collect more than 20 kilos, you get a 10 %discount. Strawberries in Lysá nad Labem or Oskořínka are also popular, where the self -selection will begin in the last week of May. In addition, the old Kokolín strawberries are a certified regional product of the Elbe, which guarantees the high quality of the fruits.
In South Moravia, the beginning of Samosice is expected to be around 27 May, especially on farms such as Strawberry Dostál or fruit -growing Buzrl. In the Zlín region, self -selection usually starts in the first week of June, for example in Holešov or the gardening of the ball. Prices are around 100–150 CZK per kilogram and the season promises a rich crop if the weather permits.
Self -selection is also possible in the Hradec Králové Region, for example in Piletice, where the beginning of the harvest depends on the weather and is expected in the first half of June. In the Pardubice Region they then plan to start self -selection on June on the farm Drahoš and the strawberries of Choltice. In the west of Bohemia you can collect strawberries in the Pilsen Region in Klatovy or Vránov near Staňkov. Why go for self -selection this year?
Self -selection of strawberries offers much more than just buying fresh fruit. It is an experience for the whole family, in which children understand how the strawberries really grow, and at the same time enjoy staying in the fresh air. Moreover, the self -collected strawberries have a unique taste that the supermarket cannot offer. In addition, you will save because you only pay for fruits without unnecessary packaging and transport costs.
But be sure to prepare for cash payments and take the right clothes. Comfortable shoes and the sun’s hat are always suitable. If you have children, make sure they walk only between the lines and do not tear green strawberries so that the field remains undamaged. Whether you are an experienced gardener or a complete beginner, the self -picking of strawberries will surely tune you in the summer season.
