The electoral denounced the influencer for two episodes of alleged defamation and the disclosure of a false medical report against () in the 2024 elections, when the two ran for the São Paulo City Hall.
The complaint was made on Thursday (29) by prosecutor Iane do Lago Nogueira Cavalcante Reis. In the text, she says that the first defamation took place on August 8, during a live debate on TV Bandeirantes. Marçal implied that Boulos was a drug user, putting his finger in one of the nostrils and simulating an aspiration.
On the same day, after the debate, Marçal repeated the insinuation. In an interview with journalists, he called Boulos a “cocaine smell.” According to the prosecutor, the two situations had “clear character offensive to the victim’s reputation”.
The complaint also includes the disclosure of false medical report on the eve of the first round of the election. On October 4, the document was published in Marçal’s profile. The false report stated that Boulos had had a psychotic outbreak and positively tested for cocaine, indicating emergency hospitalization.
The prosecutor says Marçal acted in conjunction with two more people. Biomedical Luiz Teixeira da Silva Júnior would have prepared the document in a prescription of his clinic. The lawyer Tassio Renam Souza Botelho, with authorization from Marçal, would have published the document in the influencer’s Instagram account. During a podcast, Marçal confirmed the disclosure. Junior and Botelho were also reported.
The report sought Marçal and the other two reported. They did not respond until the publication of this text.
