Leroy Merlin officially opened its new store in Portimão, with 9,000 m² of total area, and simultaneously opened a new Naterial store, a brand dedicated to outside furniture. Both spaces are part of the Nova Retail Park Village, strategically situated next to EN125 and A22, reinforcing the presence of French insignia in the Algarve Well.
This new project represents a global investment of about 9.3 million euros and is part of the brand’s growth and transformation strategy in Portugal, focusing on improving the purchase experience, expanding product supply and providing a closer and personalized service.
The new store replaces the previous Portimão unit, more than triple its size, from 2,700 m² to the current 9,000 m². The store area occupies 6,000 m², the warehouse zone and collects 1,000 m², and the building materials have 2,000 m², including 700 m².
Innovations include the project spaces, dedicated to construction, renewal, renewable energy and garden, as well as the click & drive 2h services, self check-out boxes, collection cliffs and workshops with the community.
The team of this new store consists of 115 employees, including new hires and experiences with experience in other stores. The area of influence covers the municipalities of Portimão, Lagoa, Lagos, Albufeira, Silves, Monchique, Aljezur and Vila do Bispo.
In parallel, also opens the Naterial Portimão store, with 1,000 m² dedicated to garden furniture, pergules and barbecues. It is the third store of the brand in the Algarve, after Alcantarilha and Loulé, asserting itself as a reference in design and comfort for outdoor spaces. The team specializes and provides personalized service.

Stores work with times adapted to the different needs of customers. Leroy Merlin is open from 08:00 to 21:00, the building materials area between 07:30 and 21:00, and the Naterial Store between 09:00 and 21:00, every day of the week.
