The National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) has determined the precautionary suspension of Voepass flights since March 11, after identifying serious failures in four aircraft from the company during technical inspections. The information is from the newspaper S.Paulo Folha.
Among the problems detected were deformations in the fuselage, cracks in the junction between wing and fuselage, damage to the cargo port and detachment of protective tapes, which could compromise the performance and safety of flights.

Anac’s decision occurred after the so -called “Assisted Operation”, which began in August 2024, motivated by the air crash in Vinhedo (SP), which resulted in the deaths of 62 people.
The audits held in the maintenance bases of Voepass at São Paulo, Recife and Rio de Janeiro airports revealed failures in the company’s internal detection and correction system.

According to S.Paulo Folhathe technical reports pointed out that in several cases the damages were not properly identified or monitored by the Voepass team, contrary to continuous maintenance protocols.
The absence of corrective records and actions would have allowed the evolution of structural problems, increasing the risk of incidents during air operations.

ANAC also applied fines and requested the suspension of the company’s air operator certificate due to the severity of the irregularities.
In a statement, Voepass said it has always met safety requirements and that its fleet was aircraft, with replacement of parts performed by standards and accompanied by the regulatory agency.
The company, which filed a judicial recovery last month, tries to reverse the suspension to resume its operations in the country.
