The Spanish Ministry of Health, led by Monica García, has advanced with new measures against tobacco to reinforce the health protection of non -smokers. The ban on smoking will widen to various public spaces, going beyond current terraces and bus stops.

Minister Monica García explained to Cadena that the new rules also cover work places, such as delivery vehicles, thus expanding the free zones of smoke. “It will prohibit smoking on terraces because it is a measure that is endorsed by scientific evidence and a large majority of citizenship, including many smokers.”
