A few ingredients are enough to create natural spray that eliminate the need to use the classic supermarket detergents. You will find that with bicarbonate, vinegar and essential oils you can clean practically the whole house.

When you hear about “natural” cleaning, an eyebrow often rises. The idea that two or three kitchen ingredients are enough to do the job of detergents almost looks like a joke. Still, certain home remedies make their duty – and sometimes even better. Without synthetic perfumes, without mileage labels. Before putting yet another spray with an unpronounceable name, it is better to stop for a moment. Do you really need all that chemist? Often not. Vinegar, baking soda, some essential oil … and you’re done.
These do-it-yourself solutions do not require hours of preparation or chemistry manuals. Just recover an old sprayer, mix two things and try. The surprise arrives immediately: brilliant surfaces, disappeared smells, and that silent satisfaction of those who know what they really are using. And then – not a little detail – they cost very little.
Natural baking soda spray for surfaces
One of those who are made and make. This spray is a kind of joker: it is good in the kitchen, in the bathroom, on the table and even on children’s games. Mix half a liter of warm water with a spoonful of baking soda. Add, if you like, a few drops of lemon essential oil: smells, disinfect, also puts on a good mood. Pour everything into a spray bottle, shake a little and you’re ready.
Bicarbonate acts as a light abrasive, does not scratch and leaves everything cleaner. And then it neutralizes the smells. It is used everywhere: sink, tiles, handles. Some even spray it in the fridge or on sneakers. Works.
Vinegar spray for glass and steel
If you have opaque glass or taps full of limestone, this is the mix that saves the situation. It is not a recent invention: it is the classic grandmother’s trick, but with an extra touch.
Just add 250 ml of white vinegar in a bottle, 250 ml of water and a few drops of mint essential oil or lavender, just to soften the smell a little. Start and spray where it is needed.
Glass? They return transparent. Steel? Shine. The limestone? It takes a while, but if he insists he goes away. And the perfume that remains is fresh, natural, not at all intrusive. Once tried, it is difficult to go back.
Hygieneizing spray to essential oils
Sometimes you need something more decisive, especially if there are animals, children or simply critical areas in the house. This spray, while remaining natural, makes its duty in no uncertain terms.
Ingredients:
- half a liter of distilled water
- A spoonful of alcohol (vodka is fine too)
- 10 drops of Tree Oil
- 10 drops of eucalyptus or lemon essential oil
Mix everything in a sprayer and shake well before each use.
Where to use it:
- washable surfaces
- handles
- shoes
- dustblain
The smell is intense but pleasant, and the sanitizing effect is real. Tea Tree and Eucalyptus is said to be one of the most effective combinations against bacteria. Will it be true? Meanwhile, it works.
Why choose natural spray instead of supermarket detergents
Beyond the environment – which would already be a good reason – there is also practicality. These sprays are made at home, they cost little, and have no secrets. No mysterious substance, no irritating residue.
They are cheap, easy to customize with favorite fragrances, ideal for those with small allergies or children.
Of course, it takes some desire to change habits. But after a couple of tests, the differences feel. And not only in the wallet. A real lemon fragrant house – and not of “chemical limosed aroma” – has a whole other charm.
And maybe, the next time you empty a bottle of vinegar or you finish a lemon, the instinct will no longer be thrown away … but transform it into something useful.
