The eighth and last episode of the second season of the new version of “Doctor Who” will be launched this Saturday (31) and promises to end the journey of the protagonist, lived by NCUTI GATwaand Belinda Chandra (Varada sethu). In an exclusive interview with CNN, Russel T Daviescreator of the seasons of the franchise about the traveler the time since 2005, reflected on the future of the series – and ensured that he wants to continue working on history.
In season two, the Doctor Who knows Belinda Chandra and starts a time to take her back to Earth. However, a mysterious force is preventing its return and the Tardis team that travels in time needs to face hazards, enemies and terrors larger than ever.
“We already have some scripts written, a million ideas forming,” said Davies, approached what comes after the end of season two.
“We continue to have meetings about it, about what we will do, I’m dying to do some of these things, I like to think that we have good times ahead, I promise you,” he said. “Since it spoils the surprise, because Doctor’s life is in danger every week, but I think I spoiled he survives,” he added, laughing.
The writer also reflected on his story with the franchise.
“I think I’m lucky, in a sense, because I’m a fan since day one,” he said of telling Doctor Who’s story for so many years. “I was 6 months old when the first episode aired, and my first souvenir of Doctor Who is when I was 3 years old.”
The huge legacy of “Doctor Who” does not intimidate the author. “There is a side of mine that is always looking for something new and innovative, looking for spaces on television where things have not yet been said, areas that have not yet been explored. This is essential for ‘Doctor Who’,” reflected the professional.
“I’m trying to make Doctor more modern than ever,” he continued. “There is always a new idea coming up, and that’s exactly what we should look for.”
Travel in time in the history of Brazil?
Doctor Who has already traveled to many places in the history of the world, since he met Vincent Vang Gogh and his works to Jack, the Ripper, and his crimes.
Asking about, Davies replied, “Well, I can’t just say that I know the history of Brazil very well, but it seems that nothing is out of the Doctor Who. And having one for 62 years, I’m almost sure it would have one type another 100 years, so we’ll get there in the end, I promise.”
“If we had a filming budget to take me, I would take a plane and be there,” he concluded.
The cast of the new season is also composed of the actors Millie Gibson, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Christopher Chung, Anita Dobson, Michelle Greenidge, Jonah Hauer-King, Ruth Madeley, Jemma Redgrave e Susan Twist.
