Defender Marquinhos can become the second Brazilian to win the title of Champions League as captain in history.

The player is the, and will be on the field this Saturday (31) leading his team in the final against Inter Milan, Munich, Germany.

To this day, Marcelo is the only player in Brazil who raised the Champions League trophy as Captain. The defender was champion in the 2021-22 season with Real Madrid, after final against Liverpool.

Marcelo, even, is the Brazilian with the most titles of Champions League alongside the defensive midfielder Casemiro, currently at Manchester United. The two have five titles each.

Besides the done as Brazilian, Marquinhos may be the fourth non -European player winning Champions League with the captain’s armband.
