Former President of Ernesto Pellegrini, died at dawn on Saturday (31), the day of the final of, where the Italian club sought his fourth title of the competition, facing the. In an official note, Inter expressed regret for the death of Pellegrini, highlighting his historical contribution to the team. “For 11 years, he led the club with wisdom, honor and determination, leaving an indelible mark in Inter’s history,” said the statement. Pellegrini took over the presidency of Inter in 1984, after acquiring the club, and was responsible for the management until 1995, when he passed the command to Massimo Moratti. Under their leadership, the team won important titles, including the 1988/89 Italian Championship, the 1989 Italian Super Cup and two UEFA Cups in 1991 and 1994.
