Searches to find the 17-year-old who disappeared this Friday on the Douro River after jumped from the Luis I bridge in Porto, running today in an extended zone to the mouth of the river.
Speaking to Lusa, the commander of the Porto do Douro and Leixões Captaincy, Rui Lampreia, said the works take place from about 8:30, with two teams of divers from Porto and Gaia Sappers and three sea police speedboats and the Institute of Reliefs to Castaways.
Rui Lampreia said he is a boy of Brazilian nationality, a student at a secondary school that was on a study visit to Porto.

To SIC, tourists reported that they were walking “on the bridge” when they saw “two men jumping from the bass platform to the water.”
“The first knew nothing, the second too, but then a third one that could not swim. The second saw and tried to reach him, but it was not easy … the chain was very strong and could no longer reach it,” they share.
They also reveal that the young man “was debating” and “went down and came to the surface” so far “when he disappeared.”
