Allies of the Minister of the Environment, launched manifesto, petition and support videos to her, after being offenses at a public hearing in the Senate last Tuesday (27).
The initiative is from São Paulo councilwoman Marina Bragante and state deputy Marina Helou, both from the minister’s party.
They have joined personalities such as actors Marcos Palmeira, Alessandra Negrini, Mateus Solano and Otávio Muller, presenters Astrid Fontenelle, Cazé Pecini and Edgar Piccoli, director Denise Saraceni, the screenwriter Denise Bandeira, the state deputy Ana Paula Siqueira, the former Minister of Justice José Dias, Douglas Belchior, the president of CNPq, Ricardo Galvão, and the president of the president of the Brazilian Institute of Architects, Raquel Schenkman.
The support page states that the minister was the subject of gender and race political violence in the Senate
“Society will not be silent in the face of misogynistic, racist attacks and the attempt to silence voices that fight for socio -environmental justice. And the offenses to the minister are faces of the same coin: contempt for life, the rights and future of the country,” says the supporters.
Adhesions to the petition will be sent to the Federal Senate.
