Berlin/Washington-German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will fly to Washington on Thursday to visit US President Donald Trump. Government spokesman Stefan Kornelius announced on Saturday. After several phone calls, the eagerly awaited visit is the first personal meeting of the two politicians. Among other things, the relationships between the two countries as well as international issues such as the Russian attack war against Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East and the trading policy said, the government spokesman said.
