The Senate will send a delegation of parliamentarians to visit in the United States, three women accused of involvement in Brazil to avoid arrest.

The senators will visit the three Brazilian women in the city of El Paso, in the state of Texas, where they are trapped not on January 8, but because they are in an illegal situation in the United States.

The request for the visit to fugitives in the United States was submitted by the Senator (Novo-CE) and on Wednesday (28/5) at the Senate Human Rights Commission.

“It is essential that the Senate Human Rights Commission will urgently take a diligence in order to verify the conditions of these prisoners and to investigate the allegations of abuses and human rights violations,” the request says.

In the request, Girão quoted four women: Michely Paiva Alves, Cristiane da Silva, Rosana Maciel Gomes and Raquel Lopes de Souza. Cristiane, however, has already been deported to Brazil on May 24.

The four are accused of crimes such as violent state abolition, qualified damage against the union’s assets, deterioration of listed heritage and criminal association.
