Algarve gains a new strategic center of tropical tropical trops

Trops – organization of producers specializing in the production and marketing of tropical fruit such as avocado and mango – will mark the official inauguration of its new facilities in Tavira on June 18, in a commemorative act that promises to bring together several institutional and government entities.

The new infrastructure, located in Tavira Business Park, occupies a total area of ​​7,195 m² and represents an investment of over six million euros. This new logistics and operational hub symbolizes the continued commitment of Trops to the economic and agricultural development of the Algarve region. In total, the organization has channeled more than nine million euros for its operation in Portugal.

The ceremony program includes a guided tour of the new facilities, followed by a project presentation session. The initiative will take place on Wednesday, June 18, between 16:30 and 18:00, in the 27th of Santa Margarida, in Tavira.

A consisting of more than 3,000 producers operating in various regions, such as Axaquía (Malaga), Granada Costa, Valencia, Algarve and even in South American countries such as Peru and Chile. The organization accounts for about 45% of avocado production and 55% of mango throughout the Iberian Peninsula.

Since 1979, Trops has been ensuring the successful marketing of the fruit produced by its members in the main international markets. Its mission focuses on ensuring fair trade for farmers and providing higher quality ranks to consumers.
