The president (PT) said on Sunday (1st) in Recife, that if it depends on it, the far right will not again govern the country.
“You can be sure of one thing: If I’m handsome the way I’m, in love the way I’m and motivated the way I’m, the far right does not go back to govern this country,” he said.
The statement was made during a speech at the PSB Congress, which officialized the mayor of Recife, João Campos, in the party presidency, PT’s ally.
The president also stated that his political field needs to target the Senate in the next elections to prevent opponents from controlling the house, which has powers, for example, to determine the impeachment of ministers of (Federal Supreme Court).
“We need to earn a majority in the Senate, otherwise these guys will advance the Supreme Court. It’s not because the Supreme Court is a sweet apple. No. It is because we need to preserve the institutions that guarantee the exercise of democracy in this country. If we are destroying what they don’t like, nothing will be left,” he said.
Still on the Supreme Court, the president, by Donald Trump management, related to decisions that prevent the operation in Brazil from the Rumble social network and sanction users.
“The US want to sue Alexandre de Moraes because he wants to arrest a Brazilian guy who is there in the US doing something against Brazil all day,” he said. “What is this story of criticizing Brazilian justice? I never criticized their justice, and they do a lot of barbarity.”
