President states that the government of Israel attacks the Gaza Strip for “revenge” and for being against the creation of a Palestinian state
Conib (Israeli Confederation of Brazil) criticized this Sunday (1st.Jun.2025) the President (PT). The entity stated that the petista promotes the “Anti -Semitism among its supporters” and “dedicates itself to misrepresenting reality to attack and vilify the Jewish state.”
Conib’s statement was in response to a statement by Lula. The Brazilian criticized the Israeli administration and said that attacks in the Gaza Strip are motivated by “Revenge of a government for the possibility of creating a Palestinian state.” He also said that there is a genocide underway in the region.
“Israel does not practice genocide in Gaza, and who promotes this anti -Semitic libel does so looking for opportunistic gains or ignoring the facts. What Israel effectively does is defend themselves from a terrorist organization that hides behind Palestinian civilians, which is proven daily. […] The President of the Republic, with his anti -Semitic and irresponsible lines, seems to want to create problems for our community by promoting anti -Semitism among his supporters, in an irresponsible and destructive attitude. ”says the note.
Lula made the statement during the PSB Congress in Brasilia. He also read a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that condemns Israel’s decision to install 22 new settlements in the West Bank. There were no quotes to the Extremist group Hamas.
“This war, not even the Jewish people want her. Most of the Jewish people do not agree with this war, the people of Israel do not want this war. This war is a revenge of a government for the possibility of creating a Palestinian state.”said Lula.
