The Supreme Court Minister (STF) Alexandre de Moraes marked next Monday (9) the beginning of the interrogations of the defendants of the so-called “core 1” of the criminal action that investigates an alleged attempt to coup against the result of the election of 2022.
According to Moraes, who is a rapporteur of the case in the first class of the Supreme Court, the trials will start from 14h by the former Assistant of Orders of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) Mauro Cid. Then the sequence will take place in alphabetical order.
If all interrogations cannot occur in a single day, they can extend for the rest of the week as follows:
- Tuesday (10): all day
- Wednesday (11): in the morning
- Thursday (12): in the morning
- Friday (13): all day
According to the Federal Constitution, the defendant is entitled to silence for self -incrimination, so that he is not required to answer all questions.
