Fish in a new setting. Surprise your loved ones with an unusual dinner

Teutonic chops are one of those dishes that combine a delicious taste and culinary ingenuity. Although their name can bring to mind the Middle Ages and the Teutonic Order, it is actually a classic of Polish home cuisine. Teutonic chops are simply delicate breaded and fried fish chops, and then marinated in an aromatic pickle full of spices. Thanks to this, they acquire a unique taste – they are slightly sour and expressive. They can be served both hot and cold.

Ingredients:

  • kilogram of bone fillets (from a mint or cod),
  • 100 g of breadcrumbs,
  • egg,
  • bubble onion,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of marjoram,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.

Floods:

  • 500 ml of water,
  • 150 ml of white vinegar,
  • Little onion,
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar,
  • 3 tablespoons of water,
  • 2 cloves of garlic,
  • 2 grains of allspice,
  • 2 black pepper grains,
  • 2 cloves,
  • bay leaf,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.

Additionally:

  • Breadback roll,
  • Frying oil.

Method of performance:

Make chops. If you use frozen fish, thate it well, drain and dry it with paper towels. Grind the fillets in a meat grinder or finely crush in the kitchen.

Add egg, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion and all spices to the fish mass. Make a manually or robot for a mass with a similar consistency as mass for minced cutlets.

Form small chops and bread them in breadcrumbs. Fry them in hot oil to brown on all sides. Put on paper towels, then gently transfer to a large jar.

Prepare the pickle. Boil water with all spices in a pot. Add garlic cut in half and onion chopped into feathers. Pour the vinegar and bring the whole to a boil.

Pour water into the pan and add sugar. Fry the whole, stirring occasionally, creating caramel. Pour the finished caramel carefully into the hot vinegar pickup. Boil and remove from heat. Set aside to cool.

Pour the cool pickle into the jar. Turn it and put it in the fridge.

Teutonic chops are ready to eat after 1-2 days of marinating.
