Qatar and Egypt have announced their intention to enhance efforts to restart truce negotiations in, as hopes for a ceasefire disappear due to Israeli and Hamas’s inability to reach an agreement on the United States’ proposal.
“Qatar and Egypt, co -ordinated with the United States, emphasize the importance of intensifying efforts to overcome the barriers facing the negotiations,” the two mediators said in a joint statement.
At least 31 dead by fire in the aid distribution center
Israel’s attack near a distribution point in the Gaza Strip resulted in 31 Palestinians killed, according to local health authorities.
The Palestinian Red Crescent, linked to the International Red Cross Committee, said its medical groups had recovered the bodies of 23 Palestinians and treated 23 others wounded near Rafa’s distribution distribution.
Local health authorities said at least 31 corpses had been transferred to Nasser Hospital so far.
