Several materials used in illegal practices were also confiscated, including boats, chainsaws, fishing traps, firearms and groceries.

The offensive was carried out in support of the environmental inspection promoted by ICMBio and is part of a continuous effort to repress crimes against the fauna and flora of the Amazon, especially in federal conservation units.

The suspects detained were taken to the headquarters of the Federal Police and will be able to answer for several environmental crimes, including: illegal fishing and hunting in a conservation unit, transport of wild species without permission, illegal possession of firearms and use of hunting gadgets in protected area.
