In the City Hall of São Paulo presented project to prevent people who committed being honored in city streets.
The idea is to change a 2007 law, which contains a series of streets for streets, to include those responsible as well
The collective mandate also presented two projects to change the names of feminists: Peixoto Gomide, who crosses Paulista Avenue, and Moacir Piza, in Cerqueira César.
In the first case, the suggestion is that the street has the name changed to Sophia Gomide, murdered by Peixoto, his father, in 1906, at the age of 22, because he does not accept a relationship of the young woman.
In the second, the street would be moved to Nenê Romano, a former Piza partner murdered by him in 1923 in an access of jealousy.
The project is inspired by the article “Blood Ways of Blood: The law does not prevent streets from being appointed in memory of criminals who raped women,” historian and urban planner Maíra Rosin.
The bench will also start a petition online in favor of change through the site.
