The noble laurel is one of the plants to be attributed to magical powers. From the earliest times, laurel (or laurel) leaves were considered a talisman that protected people from misfortunes. The Greek name of this plant is dáfni. He refers to the famous myth of Daphne, who, wanting to protect herself from Apoll, was turned into a laurel tree. Apollo recognized the laurel as a holy plant, which is why his leaves were used to produce wreaths for the winners of the Olympic Games. The Greeks also believed that where Wawrzyn grows, no lightning would hit. To this day, many people, wanting to protect their home and household members, plan a tree in pots and sets on the windowsill, on the balcony or in the garden. However, these are not the only magical properties of this plant. The inconspicuous bay leaf has great power. Dried leaves were put under the pillow so that they attract good and prophetic dreams, and our grandmothers incended the houses to chase away misfortune. Bay leaves are also a symbol of wealth and prosperity. Therefore, some suggest to set the tree in the workplace. Alternatively, hang a few branches at the desk to attract customers and money flows to the company. Bay leaves worn in your pocket fulfill your dreams, put into the wallet, attract wealth. To protect the house against misfortune and attract prosperity to it, you can also set the laurel tree on the windowsill. In the summer it is worth putting a pot in front of the house or onto the balcony. Wawrzyn in a pot reaches a height of up to 3 meters. Laur likes warmth, so it will grow well in a sunny and shielded position from the wind. You must not forget about moderate watering. The soil in the pot should always be moist. Even if we do not believe in the magical power of the laurel, we can always use fresh bay leaves for dishes. In this form they are more aromatic than dried.
