Lula will participate in the opening of the event in Nice, France, with Macron and other presidents
Government representatives of about 100 countries will participate in the United Nations Conference on Oceans) in Nice (France) from June 9 to 13, 2025. One of the objectives of the meeting is to discuss 8% to 30% of the total protected maritime areas.
There will be approximately 50 heads of state at the opening of the conference on June 9, according to the French government. The President (PT) will participate in the ceremony. He will return to Brazil the same day.
Lula will embark on France on Wednesday (4.Jun.2025). It will be in Paris for a state visit of Thursday on Friday (5-6.jun). French President Emmanuel Macron (Renaissance, Centro) at X (former Twitter) on Thursday (29.MAI) who will be with the petista.
In the publication, Macron also mentioned that the Paris Agreement turns 10 in 2025.
The agreement was signed in 2015 at COP21 (United Nations Conference on Climate Change 2015) in Paris to limit global warming to 1.5 ° C. COP30 will be held in November 2025 in Belém (PA).
