Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and one of the richest men in the world, will donate most of his $ 200 billion to Africa to improve health and education services. Even so, it will remain the fifth richest person in the world.

It was in Adis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia, that Bill Gates announced the donation of 99% of his fortune to Africaover the next 20 years.

Multimillionaire wants health and education better on the African continent; stating that “by freeing human potential through health and education, all countries of Africa should be on the way to prosperity.”

Gates also urged African innovative young people to think about how to develop artificial intelligence.

According to, the goal is to donate almost all of the $ 200 billion from Fortuna by 2045 – when its foundation plans to end its operations.

“In 20 years, the Foundation will end its activities,” said the foundation, quoted by the same television.

Recently the US government led by Donald Trump cut help to Africaincluding HIV/AIDS patients treatment programs, as part of the “America First” policy. This has raised concerns about the future of health care on the continent.

Gatesin turn, ensured that its foundation, which has a long history of operations in Africa, Iran focus on improving health care primary.

The Gates Foundation claimed to have three priorities:

  • end the preventable deaths of mothers and babies;
  • ensure that next generations grow without having to suffer from deadly infectious diseases;

Even with the donation of 99% of his fortune to the African continent, Bill Gates would remain the fifth richest person in the world.

Still, the 69 -year -old multimillionaire says that Don’t want to die rich.

“People will say many things about me when I die, but I’m determined that ‘he died rich’ is not one of them,” in his blog “Gates Notes” in May.

Critics of their foundation accuse Gates to use their statute from the charity to escape taxes and exert improper influence on the world health system.
